ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The department of physics was established in the year 2005 with the undergraduate program and it was upgraded with post graduate course in 2010 with the view of imparting scientific knowledge to the students. It has now grown as PG and research department by offering M.Phil programme in the year 2014, with the aim of equipping students with scientific knowledge supported by dedicated faculties’ knowledge supported and innovative teaching methodologies.
The department is marching towards excellence and it has produced 26 university ranks both UG and PG with two first ranks (gold medal). The department is organizing seminars and guest lecturer programme on the recent trends in physics in order to enrich the knowledge of the students and faculty. The department has well equipped laboratories. In order to cope up with industrial demands industrial visits are conducted.
The department is also organizing the carrier counseling programme and science day celebration to motivate the students in research. The department also aims to provide academic excellence and practical training to students to take up challenging assignments in the developments. The department inculcates good research culture and motivates the student to meet out the expectation of current scenario in the techno-world.
